Grass was ripped from it's roots as Cedric played with it, sitting on a hillside facing the Black Lake. The sky was clouded and hinted of impending storms, but he needed time alone during his break. The common room of the Hufflepuff tower was much to busy, especially since the weather beyond it was so formidable; so he sat there, eyes empty and gazing into the glassy lake. He tossed the grass aside as he heard thunder clap, and walked gracefully to the lakes edge, gazing into it as his eyes filled with activity and thoughts. Though the time spent gazing into the waters seemed short to him, it was quite a deal of time; the rain was already breaking up his reflection with much force and his soft hair was thoroughly soaked.
Suddenly after that long time, he broke his trance and rushed into a hasty run, through the majestic front doors and eventually ending up at Professor McGonagall's empty classroom. Abruptly he stopped before her desk, breathing heavy but even. "Professor. I must ask you...how is it that you become an animagus?" he questioned.

Professor McGonagall, who was sitting at her desk was taken aback by this strange question. "Well you see, your supposed to figure out it alone. It can take years, but don't give up and I believe you'll figure it out. Once you do figure it out don't forget to register at the minisrty of magic." she told him.

The simple reply took a little out of him. "Really? But I don't know what to look for, or what I need to do. How....how did you go about it exactly?" he asked again, the concern in his stone eyes intensifying. ((just make something up that makes sense to you, pleez?))

The corridor was nearly empty and the sound of his jeans rubbing back and fourth filled the vast hallway. Two, rather old shoes squeaked noisily as the owner scuffled down the hall, trying to go undetected. He needed to find something to do soon or else he would go crazy with no one to talk to. Running a hand through his pitch black hair, his fingers fell upon the all to familiar lighting bolt scar. Luckily for him, it hadn't bothered him much at all and he had almost forgotten about it completely... almost. What with all the publicity about him going through the school, Harry found it hard to ever forget about the dreadful day his parents were slaughtered. He shivered at the thought, and pushed what little memories he had to the back of his mind. Trying to find something else to think about, he heard voices down the hall and figured it wouldn't hurt to see who it was. Mcgonagall's voice was easily recognized but there was someone else in there and he strained his ears to catch the words that were being exchanged.

"Well I suppose I could help you at least get started. The best way to start is to research the Homorphus Charm, it is mention in very few books but keep looking. Also keep in mind that the animal you become when you transform is not your choice, whatever animal you become represents you the most."
